On Friday, February 22 at 8 pm and Saturday, February 23 at 3 pm and 8 pm, there will be a presentation of When Africa Ruled Empires at U.N.I.A., 2741 Notre Dame W (Metro Lionel Groulx).
U.N.I.A. hosts an educational awareness program each year in honour of Black History Month to raise funds for their scholarship programs. When Africa Ruled Empires focuses on positive aspects in Black History, through various monologues and scenes based on historical facts, exploring how Black people were the first parents of mankind with over 200,000 thousand years of culture. A collaboration with director Josa Maule and her school, MSOPA.
Tickets: $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
