Vernissage: Wednesday, September 4, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Gallery hours: Monday to Friday, 10 am to 9 pm; Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.

ART GALLERY CLUB
On Tuesday, September 10 from 2 pm to 3 pm, drop in to the Gallery for a casual discussion about Maxine Cuttler’s solo exhibition over a cup of tea. Free. No ticket required.

Stargazing at the Lookout

stargazingOn Saturday, September 7 at 7:30 pm at the Summit Lookout, join members of the Montreal Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada to observe the night skies through their telescopes. Learn about the planets and stars from knowledgeable astronomers.

This free event is organized by Westmount’s Healthy City Project and Community Events Division. In the event of rain or poor viewing conditions, the event will be cancelled.

JOAN ROTHMAN: SUPPORTING PROTESTANT PUBLIC SCHOOLS

On Thursday, September 19 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Westmount Public Library, 4574 Sherbrooke W, the Westmount Historical Association presents, as part of its Fall 2019 Lecture Series, guest speaker Claire Holden Rothman, author.

Claire Holden Rothman will talk to us about her mother Joan Rothman’s life and accomplishments. Joan Rothman pushed for the first French immersion programme in Quebec and went on to serve as a school commissioner for decades in the Protestant school board, as well as sitting as a member of Westmount City Council.

Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Free for members and $5 for non-members.
