I Musici de Montréal concert
available as a Webcast
Charles Richard-Hamelin and Stéphane Beaulac at Salle Pierre-Mercure, Centre Pierre-Péladeau
March 7, 2022
For its first full-capacity concert in over two years, I Musici de Montréal Chamber Orchestra is proud to welcome the great Quebec pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin and the seasoned trumpeter Stéphane Beaulac, on Thursday, March 24, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., in Salle Pierre-Mercure at the Centre Pierre-Péladeau. The concert will be available for webcast from March 31 to April 17.
“Here we are in the heart of I Musici’s great fundamental repertoire. While the composer’s Valses d’amour are full of tenderness, the adaptation of Shostakovich’s Third Quartet radiates ardour and intensity.
The concert will be available as a webcast from 31 March to 17 April.
“And who better than the beloved pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin and the great trumpeter Stéphane Beaulac to give us this double concerto that Shostakovich composed when he was still in his twenties?” – says Jean-François Rivest, artistic advisor and principal guest conductor.
