The Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, an ensemble well-known to Westmounters, is launching its 45th year anniversary season at Saint-Léon Church in Westmount, 4311 de Maisonneuve W., with a concert featuring an assortment of sparkling jewels of a cappella vocal polyphony.

On Sunday, September 29, at 3 pm, the Studio’s choir, conducted by Andrew McAnerney, renowned for their excellent performances, will feature works by the great masters of polyphonic style: Josquin des PrésPalestrinaLassusVictoria and Lotti.

To close this exceptional concert, a moving work by Scotland’s greatest living composer, James MacMillan. It is sure to be a perfect polyphony concert.
