Westmount Historical Association logo WestmountMag.caOn Thursday, February 21 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Westmount Public Library, 4574 Sherbrooke W, the Westmount Historical Association presents guest speakers Don Sancton, former editor and publisher of The Westmount Examiner, and David Price, founder and editor of the Westmount Independent.

Continuously for the past 84 years – since February 1935 – Westmount has been served by weekly newspapers, dedicated exclusively to it. They have not only told Westmount’s story, they have helped build and shape the community. Two people intimately tied to that history will discuss the role of these newspapers in the past and why a dedicated local voice remains crucial to the community today.

Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Free for members and $5 for non members.
