A cookie like this, traditional shortbread with four different peppercorns, is a cookie that sits deep within the niche of The Finer Cookie. Twisting flavours and textures that modernize the cookie experience is what gets me most excited and this shortbread is all about good taste. The confectioners’ sugar makes the shortbread crumble and dissolve in your mouth — such a gorgeous melting quality. You’ll encounter the sweetness first, and it will stay with you for quite a while. Then the pepper appears in the distant and builds in intensity, poking you for another bite. Don’t be afraid. They are gorgeous with a glass of cold milk and you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried them before. Perfect for movie night or with cocktails.
