Festival de la Voix:
A month of music in April
A vibrant 13th edition, mixing discoveries, renowned artists and emerging voices
March 23, 2026
The Festival de la Voix returns for a packed 13th edition, with concerts every weekend in April, from the 4th to the 28th, along with several weekday events. Presented mainly in the West Island, the festival offers 10 eclectic concerts featuring choirs, jazz, big band, Santana’s music, folk, family sing‑alongs, Celtic music, Indigenous and classical repertoire, as well as workshops showcasing both emerging and established Québécois, Indigenous and Canadian artists.
Among the performers are the next generation of well‑known musicians, including Jason Lang, son of Penny Lang, and Aleksi Campagne, son of Connie Kaldor and Paul Campagne. Events take place in various venues in Dorval, Pointe‑Claire, Beaconsfield, Lachine, Sainte‑Geneviève and downtown Montreal.
A 13th edition under the banner of diversity
“For this 13th edition, each artist and ensemble will share a subtle balance of styles—from Baroque to folk, from Brel to big band. Every concert and workshop is meant to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers, enriching our audiences and creating a deep connection through music,” notes artistic director Kerry‑Anne Kutz. Audiences are also invited to meet the artists after the concerts, a special moment to exchange, discover new perspectives, and, at times, leave with fresh inspiration.
The program kicks off on Saturday, April 4 at 7 pm. with Voices of Vision, featuring Viv Kalo, Sionna Ellison, Taurey Butler and Jason Lang. On Saturday, April 11 at 2 pm., Linda Morrison in Concert will offer a journey from folk to blues, via jazz and Celtic music, with plenty of opportunities to sing along. That same evening at 8 pm., the musicians of Persuasion will pay tribute to Carlos Santana in a high‑energy concert.
Highlights to come include a choral program with the Vincent‑d’Indy School of Music high‑school choir, a recital by soprano Myriam Leblanc with Trio Mirabilia, and Mystical Tremors by the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal, which weaves together European polyphony and Indigenous languages around Andrew Balfour’s Missa Tekakwitha. Other standout events include Les multiples voix de Simon Leclerc, bringing together Quartom, Musaïque, the Montreal Vocal Jazz Quartet and the Edgewater Elementary School Choir.
Workshops, young audiences and large ensembles
True to its intergenerational mission, the festival offers several activities for children and families, including Sing, Sing, Sing!—a concert and sing‑along for children aged 1 to 6—and Percussion Players Wanted!, a percussion workshop for ages 7–12 (also open to adults). School concerts for elementary and high‑school students will feature Musiquemosaïque and the 438 Tactical Helicopter Squadron Concert Band.
Among the major events are Nikamu Mamuitun, which brings together Indigenous and non‑Indigenous artists around shared songs, the Festival de la Voix big band directed by Ron Di Lauro with jazz grande dame Ranee Lee, and a closing concert on the 9th floor of the Eaton Centre with the Chad Linsley Trio, trumpeter Mike Cartile and vocalists Kristin Hoff and Kerry‑Anne Kutz.
