Pause for poetry: Anne Cimon
SPRING BLOSSOMS
for Angela
© Anne Cimon 2015
In the city you seek the garden
your pen flows
with rose-scented ink
fecund
with poems
bright
as daffodils.
Birds singing through bare branches
remind me
how sweetly you give.
You are far away
in China.
Here I see
green
tips
of crocuses
snowdrops
on suburban lawn.
You are
amidst the cherry trees
a pink blossom
