Free salsa and bachata bring September Wednesday nights alive at Alexis Nihon Complex
September 1, 2026
After work, it’s time for music, movement and good vibes! Throughout September, Latin Wednesdays invite workers, visitors and dance enthusiasts to turn the end of the day into a true celebration. From Wednesday, September 2 to Wednesday, September 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., the office-tower lobby will come alive to the rhythms of salsa and bachata. Each week, free introductory lessons will give participants the chance to discover these friendly, energetic Latin dances.
An activity for everyone
No experience is required. Whether you are a complete beginner, an occasional dancer, or already comfortable on the dance floor, this activity welcomes all skill levels in a relaxed, inclusive, pressure-free atmosphere.
Throughout September, Dancing Wednesdays invite workers, visitors and dance enthusiasts to turn the end of the day into a true celebration.
Professional dancers will be on hand to kick off each session with an inspiring demonstration. They will then guide participants step by step, explaining the basic movements, rhythm and combinations. The goal is not performance, but the pleasure of moving, letting the music carry you and sharing a different kind of midweek moment.
Salsa, with its lively rhythms and quick movements, and bachata, often gentler and more expressive, offer two complementary ways to explore Latin dance. These classes are a great opportunity to try something new—on your own, with a colleague or with friends.
A festive break after work
The end of the workday can sometimes feel long, especially during the back-to-school season, when calendars start filling up again. Latin Wednesdays offer an enjoyable way to unwind before heading home. Instead of rushing to the métro or your car, why not take two hours to move, smile and learn a few dance steps?

This free activity supports an effort to create accessible, community-building moments within the office towers. It also offers a new way to enjoy the shared spaces, in a lively atmosphere where spontaneous conversations and new connections are part of the experience. You don’t need to come with a partner: participants can learn at their own pace, watch, try the movements, and join the group whenever they feel comfortable. Casual clothing and comfortable shoes are all you need.
Sessions will be held on September 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, always from 5 to 7 p.m. That is five opportunities to learn, practise and end the day with a little more energy. After work, set the routine aside and make room for dance. Salsa, bachata, music and good company will be waiting every Wednesday in September.
