Celebrating supermoms
with sass and heart
The author of SUPERWOMAN to introduce a companion workbook

Let’s be honest: single motherhood is part superhero, part circus act, and part coffee-fueled survival game. It’s equal parts chaos, courage, and a whole lot of hiding in the bathroom just to get a moment of peace.
As someone who’s lived it (and lived to write about it), I can tell you that SUPERWOMAN: A Funny and Reflective Look at Single Motherhood isn’t just a memoir. It’s a love letter to every woman who’s ever juggled parenting, bills, and the emotional labour of doing it all alone. Alongside my own story, I interviewed other single moms whose voices, struggles, and triumphs are woven throughout the book. Their stories add depth, honesty, and a sense of solidarity. Because this isn’t just my story. It’s our story. The story of all single moms.
From blog posts to bookstore shelves
What began as late-night rants on my blog, Moxie-Dude.com, eventually turned into something bigger. Although I always knew that I would one day write a book about my experience as a solo parent, I didn’t realize that the blog was how I would develop my voice as a writer. I was just trying to make sense of my life and laugh through the exhaustion. But somewhere between mismatched socks and ending long days by myself, I realized I wasn’t alone – and that maybe, just maybe – sharing the not-so-glamorous side of motherhood could help someone else feel seen.
So, I wrote SUPERWOMAN.
Part memoir, part pep talk, and unapologetically honest, the book blends humour with raw reflection. It covers everything from guilt and the secret to adulting to the strange comfort of frozen pizza and why “doing it all” is a myth. And no, you won’t find any Pinterest-perfect parenting tips here. Just real talk and the occasional F-bomb.
Breaking the Supermom myth
One of the biggest lies we’re sold as single mothers is that we have to be everything to everyone… All. The. Time. Perfect mom. Stellar employee. In-shape human who somehow finds time to pack organic lunches, keep the house clean, and juggle the budget like a circus freak.
Spoiler: It’s a trap.
What I hope SUPERWOMAN does is break that myth wide open. Not with judgment, but with stories that remind you that showing up, even in yoga pants while styling a messy bun, is more than enough.
As someone who’s lived it… I can tell you that SUPERWOMAN: A Funny and Reflective Look at Single Motherhood isn’t just a memoir. It’s a love letter to every woman who’s ever juggled parenting, bills, and the emotional labour of doing it all alone.
Rooted in Montreal, backed by community
I’m proud to call Montreal home. And I’ve been incredibly grateful for the support this city has shown – from book signings at Indigo Pointe Claire, to a school supply drive in partnership with Projet Communautaire de Pierrefonds.
Because SUPERWOMAN isn’t just a personal story. It’s a reminder that community matters. It’s about knowing we’re stronger when we lift each other up. And sometimes, that lifting comes in the form of laughter.
What’s next
The response to SUPERWOMAN has been heartwarming. And yes, there’s more to come.
Right now, I’m working on a companion workbook to SUPERWOMAN, for moms who want to reflect, laugh, and maybe even cry a little – on their own terms. The working title is Dear Guilt, You’re Not the Boss of Me: The Superwoman Workbook.
My vision is to create a real-talk, no-guilt zone for single moms who are tired of doing it all and ready to reclaim their power – with laughs, journal prompts, and permission to swear.
Oh! And because life isn’t dramatic enough, I’m also writing a YA vampire novel. Because obviously.
