Cameron Crozman opens
I Musici’s 36th season

The cellist will open the I Concertini series on Thursday, September 26 at the MMFA

In the framework of their concerts in the I Concertini series, I Musici de Montréal and its conductor, Jean-Marie Zeitouni, are embarking on the 36th season by spotlighting the beautiful and idyllic region of France. On Thursday, September 26, in Bourgie Hall at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman will be featured in two performances, one at 11 am. and one at 6 pm. He will be interpreting themes that transport us from Roussel to Debussy and from Fauré to St-Säens, not overlooking some of their contemporaries.

Cameron Crozman is one of Canada’s foremost cellists. Thanks to the Canada Council for the Arts’ Musical Instrument Bank, he enjoys the great privilege of performing on the Stradivarius “Bonjour” cello from c. 1696 and with the Adam “Shaw” bow from c. 1830. Hailed for his expressiveness, his versatility and his remarkable technique, he obtained the Prix de Violoncelle from the Conservatoire de Paris with distinction in the class of Michel Strauss and Guillaume Paoletti. Closer to home, he earned the Révélation Radio-Canada title in classical music for 2019-2020.

I Concertini series, I Musici de Montréal and its conductor, Jean-Marie Zeitouni, are embarking on the 36th season by spotlighting the beautiful and idyllic region of France.

In a rethought Bourgie Hall, with the orchestra at its center, the I Concertini concert series is an intimate concert in-the-round formula. For over an hour, conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni takes the spectator on a tour of works that he seasons with a series of edifying commentaries and fascinating anecdotes. And for the 11 a.m. performance, a cup of coffee awaits all ticket-holders, while at the 6 p.m. concert, everyone will be greeted with a glass of wine.
