To celebrate the holiday season, the Lyrico ensemble returns to Place des Arts on December 4 to present the dazzling concert A Very Operatic Christmas, a festive show for the whole family – with an Italian twist! They will then travel to Quebec City for the premiere of the show at the Grand Théâtre de Québec on December 11.
Performed by the Canadian group Lyrico, an operatic pop trio composed of Marco Bocchicchio, Sam Champagne, and Ian Sabourin, the trio will captivate the audience with their interpretation of some of the most memorable Christmas pieces known and loved by all: O Holy Night, The First Noel and more!.

In addition to Christmas classics inspired by The Three Tenors, Lyrico will perform several great Italian classics, including Brindisi (La Traviata), Funiculi Funicula and Core N’grato. The Orchestra and Choir (85 musicians and choristers) will be conducted by Francis Choinière, Music Director of the FILMharmonic.
“This event was met with thunderous applause and rave reviews when we premiered it at Place des Arts last year. We’re hoping to make the magic happen again,” says the trio, who also toured Quebec in February and March, and headlined Italfest Montreal last summer at the Quartier des Spectacles.
Let’s experience the magic of the holidays together!
