GFN Productions and the FILMharmonic Orchestra invite the public to brighten up November with an unmissable cultural event: Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert.

This holiday classic will be screened on the big screen, accompanied by the masterful music of Grammy-winning composer Danny Elfman, performed live by the FILMharmonic Orchestra. Under the direction of conductor Erik Ochsner, audiences will be immersed in this symphonic experience on November 30 at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier. The film will be presented in its original English version, with French subtitles.

This holiday classic will be screened on the big screen, accompanied by the masterful music of Grammy-winning composer Danny Elfman.

Created from a poem by Tim Burton and first released in 1993 under the title The Nightmare Before Christmas, the film follows the adventures of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town. Bored with the routine of Halloween, Jack decides to discover the magic of Christmas. Unfortunately, his good intentions lead him to kidnap Santa Claus with the help of his mischievous sidekicks, Lock, Shock, and Barrel. However, his festive plan quickly turns into a nightmare for the good children around the world.

As Canada’s first film music orchestra, the FILMharmonic Orchestra has already captivated audiences with sold-out film concerts at Place des Arts and across the country, including presentations of The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. About the FILMharmonic Orchestra

The FILMharmonic Orchestra, composed of world-class Canadian musicians, is Canada’s first film music orchestra. Since its founding in 2015 by Denis Chabot, the FILMharmonic Orchestra has annually presented sold-out film concerts at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts, featuring titles such as Harry Potter, Amadeus, Star Wars, The Godfather, Gladiator, Titanic, Fantasia, La Passion d’Augustine, Bugs Bunny, and The Lord of the Rings.
